The Aberdeenshire Taekwondo School run's classes during school terms on Wednesdays 4pm-5pm.

 

WHAT IS TAEKWONDO?
 
Taekwondo literally means foot (tae), hand (kwon) and art (do).  It is a martial art which originated in Korea and was officially named on the 11th of April 1955 .  It was founded by General Choi Hong Hi. It involves the use of kicking, punching, thrusting, striking, jumping, blocking and dodging to single or multiple opponents, while using a range of attacking and blocking tools.  As well as being one of the most effective methods of self defence, Taekwondo training is an ideal way of improving and maintaining physical and mental fitness.
